“I’m going to Asia in January want to come?”
It started a few months ago, the planning for this trip, I was asked a simple–probably joking question and I said yes!
It occurred to me this morning driving to JFK that I have not left the country in two years. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was studying abroad in England and backpaking through France, Belgium and Greece.
Honestly where does time go?
Kate (my travel buddy/former roommate) and I discussed this for a bit and while I am a travel enthusiast and adventurist, I’ve been doing just that these past two years.
Graduating from college, traveling to music festivals, moving to Washington, D.C. for a dream job, only to discover new dreams and ambitions and getting a new job.
As I reflect on 2012 and head oversees to start 2013 traveling around Asia, I am overly blessed with so much.
Twelve is my lucky number but hopefully 13 will prove just as worthy. Cheers to 2013! And off to Nepal I go. I’ll be posting as much as possible to record my journey.
